DCMS Program Updates                         Back

There are several scenarios which could affect which update you need. The table below gives you some of the most common scenarios to help you determine exactly which update you need. Clicking on the appropriate link will send you to the correct page of instructions and links to download the update.

As a rule of thumb, the DCMS Update has all of the files which have been changed in the past twelve months. If it has been less that a year since you last updated your program and your program is running well, then all you will need is the DCMS Update File. The Re-Installation Update has all of the files that comprise the DCMS.

All of the updates below contain both the latest version of the program and the latest Consultant Order Sheets for all five countries supported by the DCMS. Please note that your Update Subscription must be up to date to install the updates. To determine if your Update Subscription is valid, select the "About the DCMS" option of the Utilities menu, in Release 11.1 or better. To order or renew your Update Subscription, click the link at right.

DCMS Update
As a rule of thumb, the DCMS Update has all of the files which have been changed in the past twelve months. If it has been less that a year since you last updated your program and your program is running well, then all you will need is the DCMS Update File.  3,903,488 bytes
Re-Installation Update
This is for DCMS Users who have purchased a new computer or suffered a hard drive problem and have to re-install the DCMS, and recover the data from the previous installation. This is the full program, and the underlying database engine. If you are having trouble with your copy of the DCMS, try the Re-Installation Update. 12,644,352  bytes

Please note that we have done away with all of the other updates previously offered on the web site. The multiple file updates are now no longer needed. If you need to transfer the update from one computer to another, I recommend using a USB "thumb" drive, similar to the one pictured at right. It will carry either of the updates above.

As well, the updates for the DCMS Classic have been discontinued. If you still have the DCMS Classic, contact me and I will help you convert to the DCMS for Windows. I will no longer be supporting the DCMS Classic  (the original DOS program).
