I am often asked if I have a refund policy. The short answer is that I do not have a refund policy. In fact, I can't think of any software company that offers refunds on opened software, except for trial versions. I wish it were different, because I would have saved thousands of dollars on software that looked good on the shelf, but was unusable. To test this yourself, go to any software retailer and ask if you can bring a program back for a full refund if you find out that you don't like it. I doubt you will find any retailer who will say yes to that. The long answer is that, once opened and in your computer, I cannot take the software back. More implicitly, I cannot take back the license for you to use the program, since that is really what you are buying, a license to use the software for your business. That license cannot be revoked any more than an author can take back the knowledge you gained from a book he wrote after you read it (whether you liked the book or not).
