 The DCMS Demo Program

The Director & Consultant Management System is the largest and most thorough program of its kind. Yet for all of its size, it is tightly integrated, which means that you only have to enter an item of information once in order to use it in many ways and for it to affect many other bits of information. Creating a Demo Program that adequately showed you all of the power, ease of use and flexibility of the DCMS has proved to be even harder than writing the program itself. You have a limited time to decide what program you are going to use from the rest of your career. 

Therefore I have decided to let you download the entire program and use it with full priviledges of ownership (including getting updates from this web site) for an evaluation period of 28 days. The Demo is a full, working copy of the most recent version of the DCMS and lets you use your real-life data in the program. It also contains the current Consultant Order Sheets for all five of the countries I support. The approprite one will be used when you enter which country you live in.
The Demo Program comes with only two restrictions:
  • the program runs for only 28 days, after which, you will not be able to start it again without codes from me to reactivate it (which you get when you decide to purchase the program); and
  • your "Registered Name" in the program will be "DCMS Demo User", which will show up on bills, reports, Accomplishment Sheets" and Letterheads (the codes you receive with your purchase will also change your name)
Other than that, the Demo Program should work as if it were a production installation of the DCMS. Feel free to use your real data in the program. When you decide to purchase the DCMS, you will be able to register the Demo and continue using it without problem, even if the Demo expired. If you make a Backup of your data in the Demo, you will be able to restore it to your purchased program, even if it is in another computer. You will not lose any data (or worse yet, precious time).

If you are comfortable with computing, you need only click on the "Download Demo" link above to start the installation. Please note that the Demo Installation routine is not meant to be run from the web, it must be saved to a disk in your computer first, and then run from there.

Finally, since all computers are different, the Demo might not run perfectly when you install it. I have added a page of Troubleshooting tips and questions which will help you get started with the program.
