Migrating from Beauty Advisor

You can now easily migrate from Beauty Advisor

Recently, I have been inundated with requests from users of Beauty Advisor about the possibility of transferring their data to the DCMS. I get the impression that Beauty Advisor is not providing the service expected. I asked a few respondents for copies of their backups and was successful in converting the following types of data:

  • All customer records, including past purchases;
  • Consultant Records, including the last 12 months wholesale production;
  • Inventory data;
  • Sales History;
  • Tax Expense Records; and 
  • Personal Use Records.
Some data could not be converted because it isn't used by the DCMS, but the conversion will save hours of data reentry. The conversion is free once you have purchased the program and can be completed within 24 hours of receipt of the data from you.

To migrate to the DCMS, you should:

1.  Download and install the demo version of the program to get a feel for the program.

2.  If you enjoy the DCMS as much as I believe you will, order the program using the online order form

3.  Right after you order, send me a message at   support@mydcms.com  and attach your data files to the message. The data files you will need are  account.mdb, business.mdb, calendar.mdb, consult.mdb, customer.mdb, defaults.mdb, order.mdb and product.mdb. They should be located in the same folder as the Beauty Advisor program.  You may need a bit of assistance in attaching the files, but it will save you many hours of work. Please remember to identify who the files are for (i.e. you).

4.  You will receive codes from us to change your demo program into a registered version. Enter those codes as soon as you get them.

5.  Finally, you will receive a message from us with a file attached. That file will contain your converted data and the message will provide you with the instructions to install the data to your program.
