"Each one of us can make an incredible difference if we have the courage to face ourselves, and then go out and make the world a better place by passing on this great baton of opportunity and freedom."

True beauty emanates from the inside. A former modeling and television career prepared Renée for a life in the spotlight, and made her realize that it's what's inside that counts. "I see the gifts that others possess and I focus on their good qualities. If a person has 10 bad qualities and one good one, just focus on the good one and soon the others will dissipate."

Once called a rebel by her high school principal, Renée is grateful to U.S. Executive National Sales Director Emeritus Shirley Hutton, for 'believing in me, long before I believed in myself'. Fiercely committed to her two children, Troy and Chloë, and husband Christos, Renée feels blessed in many ways. "I have an authentic and unconditional love for humanity."

A true visionary, Renée takes time from daily life to meditate and pray, feeling true world peace will come when all people learn to embrace unity through diversity. Renée strongly believes in Mary Kay's philosophies of God first, family second and career third. "I believe this career allows us to become the women that God destined us to become. When we affect the woman, we affect the family and all future generations become strong, independent and brave." Her chief aspiration: to leave behind a legacy of love.

Renée became the fourth National Sales Director in Canada in 1994. Back then, there wasn't a lot of guidance for us, so we developed what it was to be a National together. Renée was also the first Senior National Sales Director in Canada. We met, however, on my very first Top Director trip, and we have travelled the world for the past 28 years.

Renée has a passion for life, which she applies to her career. One aspect of me being the #1 National for 18 years, is that someone has to be #2. That person has been Renée for most of those years. Even so, I have never felt anything but love from her - no competition or resentment. That says much for someone so used to success as Renée.

We have been friends and colleagues for so long, I couldn't think of celebrating 20 years without her. In fact, if I remember correctly, it was Renée's idea to have a Retreat this big.
